Riverside Park

Riverside Park in Guelph is an ideal place for kids to play. The park is a prominent urban space that hosts large city events throughout each year. Children of all ages will enjoy the park's playable sculptures. It is also inspired by the nearby Speed River. Local artists hand-carved the largest attraction, the giant water-strider. Brainerd City Council has received 24 letters of support from community entities. It plans to send out a request for proposals for the museum by Friday.


Lum Park has sports fields available for rent. The public can rent equipment for basketball, volleyball and tennis at $25 per person in the summer. To rent the equipment, guests must be at minimum 18 years of age. For the rental to be secured, applicants must present a valid driver’s licence and $50.

Donald and Barbara Zucker Natural Exploration Area are an outdoor playground that features many innovative play equipment. The playground is constructed of stone and timber materials. It features a water feature along with wooden pieces and tunnels. The play area encourages exploration and free play.

The Zucker Natural Exploration Area is located at Nellie's Lawn (northern section) of Central Park. It is a tranquil and quiet playground with lots of space to explore and climb. It's an ideal spot for family outings.

Police Officer Moira Ann Smith Playground

The Police Officer MoiraAnn Smith Playground in Manhattan is named after the only female police officer who lost her life during 9/11. This play area can be found at the northern end Madison Square Park. It has a variety play structures that come in different sizes. There is also a colorful area that features water-spouting alphabet blocks and a waterwheel. The playground hosts summer children's concerts.

Many people attended the ceremony, including Raymond W. Kelly, police commissioner, Christine Quinn, City Council Speaker, and Moira Smith's family. In honor of the woman who was the first to reach the south tower, the playground was named after her. Smith was one of 23 NYPD officers to be killed by terrorist attacks. Moments after the first bomber struck the Trade Center, her photo became a landmark in the aftermath.

What are the Four Health Systems?

Healthcare systems are complex networks of institutions such as hospitals and clinics, pharmaceutical companies or insurance providers, government agencies and public health officials.

The overall goal of this project was to create an infographic for people who want to understand what makes up the US health care system.

These are some of the most important points.

  1. Annual healthcare spending totals $2 trillion and represents 17% GDP. This is nearly twice the amount of the entire defense spending budget.
  2. Medical inflation reached 6.6% in 2015, which is more than any other consumer group.
  3. Americans spend 9% of their income annually on health.
  4. Over 300 million Americans are uninsured as of 2014.
  5. Although the Affordable Care Act (ACA), has been passed into law, it is not yet fully implemented. There are still gaps in coverage.
  6. A majority of Americans believe the ACA should be maintained.
  7. The US spends more money on healthcare than any other country in the world.
  8. Affordable healthcare would mean that every American has access to it. The annual cost would be $2.8 trillion.
